As my attempt to get fit by running failed miserably leaving me with 6 months worth of Lumbago, I thought a weekly long cycle ride might be a good way to lose weight (other than the very drastic act of stopping chocolate and beer). This week saw the first of “many”. 17 miles was a good start – Map here

I’m doing part of the Capital Ring next Saturday. It will be the third stage for me and I hope to walk from Balham to the Thames at Richmond. Since the last time I walked some of this project we have seen the advent of twitter, so I will attempt to twitter in real time while on the walk. It will be interesting for me and maybe some others. Hopefully twitpic will let you see what I’m seeing a few times during the day too. I took some photos of the 10K this morning and within a few hours was being followed by @bristolrunning, I’ll have to do it next year now!
